Martyn is an innovative, resourceful and commercially astute Business Intelligence Data Analyst, supporting customer-centric technologies including CRM systems across multiple industry sectors.

Martyn specialises in all aspects of ‘Self-Service Business Intelligence’ working within a broad spectrum of sectors including manufacturing, technology, distribution and training. He also provides consultancy and training services around Microsoft’s stack of BI solutions – Power Query, Power Pivot, Power View, Power BI & DAX. He is a senior business manager with a history of applying a combination of commercial and technical skills within a process driven framework to create innovative solutions to complex business problems.

As a compelling presenter and people motivator, Martyn is confident working to board level in both SMEs and corporate organisations. He is committed to maintaining in-depth knowledge of current technologies that under-pin today’s data revolution whilst working collaboratively with a range of disciplines to achieve business objectives.

Martyn works closely with the senior management team to increase awareness of the opportunities that ‘Self-service BI’ can bring to their business in terms of improved employee engagement – enabling employees to take responsibility for their own data and analytical needs, ultimately leading to better and faster decision making.

Martyn has 20+ years’ experience of business and IT experience and has a successful track record of proposing, managing and delivering strategic initiatives and transformation programmes across industry segments (insurance, NHS, automotive, local government, distribution, manufacturing and more).

His focus is helping businesses to find hidden insights in their data and as a result identify specific and tangible interventions designed to improve business performance.

He designs and delivers dynamic bespoke analytical solutions that can be operated without the need for specialist software and IT skills.

These solutions can connect to multiple disparate data sources and provide a high degree of automation; this means employees spend less time building reports and more time working on the things that matter.

He has hands-on expertise of business systems and processes including management accounting, architecture/analysis, project and programme management and used to working in fast-paced, high-tech environments.
